Your path today lies to the suburbs of St.Petersburg rich with tremendous parks and palaces.

We invite you to visit Catherine's Palace – a sample of Russian Baroque – stop at the main courtyard in front of the gilded iron gates, adorned by Rastrelli's, take photo of the shiny magnificent main facade of the palace. With your guide you’ll walk through the Palace and it's beautiful and mysterious “Amber Room”. Some of the names of the great architects who worked there are: Charles Cameron, Giacomo Quarenghi, Antonio Rinaldi, Yuri Fetlin - sounds like music for the lovers of art and architecture. After the tour you will have time to enjoy lunch in one of the country side restaurants before you continue to explore St.Petersburg while walking along Nevski Prospect OR relaxing in a quiet park in front of Mikhalov Palace before you board the ship to wave “farewell” to St.Petersburg.

We welcome you to go to see the Peterhof. The drive is only 29 km through countryside and you find yourselves within wonderland of parks, gardens and fanciful fountains located on the Gulf of Finland.

The history of Petrodvorets (this is a second name of the palace) goes back to the early 18th century when it was built as a monument to the victories of Russia in the struggle to find an outlet to the Baltic Sea.

The immense marble balcony at the center of the facade of the Great Palace facing the sea commands a splendid view of the Great Cascade, consisting of 17 high waterfall steps, 39 gilded bronze statues.

The focal point of Peterhof is the Grand Palace built between 1714 and 1724. In the mid 1740 the reconstruction of the building under the supervision of Bartolomeo Rastrelly made the Grand Palace an outstanding and favourite residency of Russian Tzars. Guests are visiting Peter the Great Oak Study, Royal Bedchamber, White Dinning Hall, Throne Room and other unique rooms of the palace.

Return to the city by water transport along the Gulf of Finland shore.
