Let's start with the background. Back in 1924, a remarkable exhibition of paintings, sculptures and graphics was held in the USA. What made it stand out so much from the mass of other worthy expositions? Prominent artists from Russia participated in it. They sent their best creations overseas to the Grand Central Palace in Manhattan: visitors to the American exhibition had the opportunity to purchase their favorite works, and in 1924 it was very important for many artists. In total, more than 1000 works participated in that exhibition.
