Day 1

Arrival to St.Petersburg, meeting at the airport by coach with English speaking guide, transfer to hotel for accommodation. Free time.

 

Day 2

City tour of St. Petersburg with boat trip on Neva River, including the most famous places of interest of St. Petersburg such as the Palace Square, the Spit of Vasilievsky Island, the Decembrists Square, the river Neva embankments, the Winter Palace, the St. Isaac Cathedral, look at the walls Peter& Paul fortress, The Monument to Peter the Great, Hermitage, Bronze Horseman and Admiralty, the Nevsky prospect, the Smolny Cathedral, the Art Square, the Summer Garden as well as some unknown places of the city: the Square of Five Corners, the New Holland Island, etc.

Afternoon visit Hermitage museum

One of the greatest museums in the world, consists of five interlinked buildings — the Winter Palace (previously the residence of the Imperial family), the Small Hermitage, the Old Hermitage, the New Hermitage and the Hermitage Theater— and contains over three million exhibits and one of the best art collections in the world. The gallery is most famous for its collection of West European art, here you can see paintings by Monet, Cezanne, Renoir, Picasso, da Vinci, Michelangelo, Rubens and Rembrandt. The splendor of the museum is all the more enhanced by the incredible beauty of the buildings, inside and outside: ornate and regal facades; huge frescoed halls; marble, wood, and mosaic floors; statues, figurines, antique furniture. The permanent exhibition consists of six different departments. By far the most popular is the Department of West European art. Displayed on the second floor of the whole complex and the third floor of the Winter Palace, it includes painting, sculpture, and applied art from the Middle Ages to modern times. In the Russian culture exhibition you can find items representing Russian life and culture from the 15th to the early 18th century including, icons, books, furniture, paintings. The first floor holds an exhibition called Art and Culture of Antiquity as well as the Department of Primitive Culture.

Day 3

Departure to Poushkin (Tsarskoye Selo), visit Cartherina the Great palace with Amber room and Park

It's is a wonderful work of the Russian art of gardening from the 18th and 19th centuries, which combines the masterpieces of architecture with the beauty of the transforming nature of the north. In its landscaping one can find the features of different garden styles. The Regular part of the park lies between the Catherine Palace, the Great Pond and the Cascade ponds. It is created according to Rastrelli's design and constructed by the master gardener YaRekhlin. It's historic name is the Old Garden. It was originally planted at the beginning of the 18th century in front of the palace of Catherine I. In the 1750's the park was decorated with numerous entertaining pavilions

Day 4

Departure to Faberge Museum

The items of greatest value in the collection are nine Easter eggs made by artisans employed by the House of Fabergé for the last two Russian emperors. They are all masterpieces of jewelry art and have unique historical value, as they are linked to the reign and personal lives of Alexander II and Nikolai II. Today, Fabergé Museum's collection is made up of over 4000 display items which also represent the many different things created by the House of Fabergé: Easter masterpieces, fantasy-themed objects, jewelry, miscellaneous small items, silverware, home decor and objects of worship.

The exposition of the museum is the largest model of Russia in the world with an area of ​​800 square meters, which is an artistic embodiment of the image of the country: from its Far Eastern borders to the "amber" coast of the Baltic Sea. On the model surface, collective images of various cities and regions are conveyed, and in genre scenes virtually all types of human activity are displayed.
