A Tour Around Baikal in Two Hours at Zaryadye (11.10.18 - 30.06.19)

Zaryadye Park invites everyone on a virtual journey around Lake Baikal.
Walkers will enjoy picturesque views of the deepest lake on Earth and learn what barguzin is, what currency Russians used in the era of Ivan the Terrible to fill the treasury and what necklace Baikal keeps today, on a two-hour walking tour.
Approximately 2,600 species of animals live at the lake, most of them endemic to the region, such as the Baikal seal, and the omul or Baikal oilfish, also known as golomyanka.
Lake Baikal’s water is clean, clear and oxygen-rich. A species of copepod called Epischura baikalensis that cannot be seen by the human eye help preserve its unique properties as they eat bacteria and unicellular algae and thus filter the water.
