Zaryadye Park was recently featured in Time magazine’s list of greatest places. The weekly American magazine compiled a list of the top 100 most interesting and unique landmarks of 2018.

Apart from Zaryadye Park, Russia’s only entry, the list also featured a number of other innovative spaces that attract the attention of both tourists and business community representatives from all over the world. These included Museum MACAN in Jakarta (Indonesia), Austin Central Library (Texas, the US) and the Tippet Rise Art Center in Stillwater County (Montana, the US).

Earlier, Zaryadye Park was included in the Civic and Cultural Building category of the shortlist of the prestigious architecture award, Dezeen Awards. Another 29 architectural landmarks from around the world were also shortlisted.

In addition, Zaryadye Park has been shortlisted in the World Architecture Festival competition, in the Landscape: Urban Projects category. Apart from the Moscow park, the shortlist also included projects from Beijing, Singapore, Sidney and other world cities.

Zaryadye Park has received prestigious international awards before. Together with the Luzhniki Stadium, it was in the shortlist for the MIPIM Awards 2018. The park has also been nominated for the ArchDaily award in the Public Architecture category.

The city decided to build Zaryadye in 2012 and it opened just in time for Moscow’s 870th anniversary.  The attraction is divided into four nature zones, and features the River Overlook footbridge, the Nature Centre Pavilion, a cultural exhibition complex, an ice cave and the Media Centre.
