Not by bread alone: What to do at Mos/Food! festival

Workshops on making souvenirs and decorating interior items, and sports venues with giant gorodki, Jenga and fun hockey will be available to all.

Festival-goers will be able to take part in interactive performances and sport entertainment such as streetstyle football, basketball and gorodki - regular and giant with 60 centimetre high figures. The most dexterous can try to hold their balance in the game of balancier, take part in a giant version of Jenga or in fun hockey, where players don’t score in the net but in a small hole. In total, there will be 3,210 sports venues.

There will also be workshops for young visitors at the festival. Children aged 3 and older will learn how to paint a postcard or make souvenirs from natural materials. Junior pupils will learn how to decorate the interior and pain wood toys in the popular style. Young people 12 and older will be able to take part in an industrial design workshops.

The cultural programme includes theatre performances, some with guest participation.

The events will be held on 17 March from 5 pm to 8 pm and on 18 March from 8 am to 8 pm.

Mos/Food! will take place on 17 and 18 March, a month before the start of the new fair season. About 1,500 venues around the city will sell fish, cheese and meats made in Russia. Visitors will receive forms where they can write what regional products they want to see at fairs.
