The Art of Russian Etching: Second Half of the Nineteenth to Early Twentieth Century

   Displayed alongside the works honouring the legacy of prominent etchers, namely Viktor Bobrov, Elizaveta Krasnushkina, Vasily Mate and Mikhail Rundaltsov and their contemporaries, are unique pieces produced in this technique by painters such as Nikolai Ge, Ivan Kramskoi, Ivan Shishkin, Ilya Repin and Valentin Serov. A total of 170 prints introduce the visitors to the oeuvre of these masters, their key achievements and various genres of printmaking, including portraits, landscapes and genre scenes.
