Kite battles, DJ sets, a wind garden and more at the Colourful Sky festival

The programme also includes workshops and an aerobatics show.

Brightly coloured kites will fly in the sky over the historical park in the Tsaritsyno Museum and Reserve. The Colourful Sky festival will take place in the park on 1 and 2 September. It will begin at noon near the Lower Tsaritsyno Pond.

The organisers invite everyone to spend the weekend outdoors, to fly a kite or to make one at a workshop. In addition, visitors will see kite fights involving Rokkaku, traditional Japanese kites. They will see a show by the AWITA French aerobatics team, which has managed to gather one of the world’s largest collections of kites over its ten-year existence.

A wind garden will be created in the park with installations, flags and colourful ribbons. In addition, the festival will include DJ sets and a food market for gourmands.

The first Colourful Sky festival took place in Moscow in 2003. It has been held at the Tsaritsyno Museum and Reserve twice a year since 2012.
